So I bought a new Stock Yuasa battery for the 05 since I didn't want to press the old one past 4 years. I made sure it was the same battery like the one installed from the factory.

I charged up the new battery for several days since I couldn't do the job right away and so to start I removed the old battery. The instructions (yes, I read the instructions) and it says use the long screws if using the front mount and the short ones if using the top mount.
So I figure, I have four wires added on plus the main cable so having the longer screws would be nice.
As I tighten them up the screw starts getting hard to turn but the cables are still loose. So I tighten them a little more and the cables tighten up.
Then I think if the screw is longer it could be going into the battery case so I remove the cables and pull the battery out looking for damage.
There is no damage to the battery only the back side of the post was never drilled out and the longer screw started coming through it. I cleaned both terminals and then checked to see if the screw would hit the battery case and it would not even with no cables attached. I re-installed the battery and installed the positive cable and wires and tightened them up.
As I was doing that, one of the ground wires which happens to go to the air horns on the bike hit the ground terminal on the battery, and the air horns went off.
Made me jump.
How could the air horns go off without hitting the horn button?
I thought that was odd!
I get all the ground wires and cable attached and the horn does not go off so I think it must have been a fluke.
