I am considering buying a Battery Bug for my 2005 GW. With the way the wiring comes out of the right side of the unit I was wondering how and where some of you folks were mounting this unit. Would appreciate any and all suggestions.
Thanks,
Mike

Mounted mine on the top left corner of the right front speaker using velcro, then ran the wires under the dash mat then down thru the tupperware to the battery

Below the right side key lock panel on the fairing worked good for me on my '05. Then run the wire down to the bottom of the fairing, following the molding trim, up under the top shelter (just loosen the bolts you need to and fish the wire through) and across to the battery. No splicing required this way and it won't interfer with top shelter removal if you use the velcro mount.

I installed it on my 2009 by velco to the depression for a meter below the right side pocket keylock. Ran the wire directly to the right and behind the molding. This is right at a cutout in the moulding so the wire is barely visable. Then routed it back on the right side then over the frame to the battery.

I love mine - since I do not have to see it while riding, I mounted on the right side below the speaker on the blank panel (on the left side is a small glove compartment) It is a nice flat place out of the way.
