Monday, October 19, 2009 07:34 am | Here's a problem I've NEVER seen on the board. Put a new (to me) seat on a week or so ago. We've had MANY days of HEAVY rainfall, so I didn't get to give it a test ride. Saturday, I saddled up to see how it feels. Got maybe 100' down the driveway and the horn started honkng. Pulled over, turned the bike off at the kill swithc...still honking. Turned the key off...STILL honking!!!???? AFTER the key is off???!!!!! Reached down and bumped the horn button thinking it had shorted somehow. Still honking! Pulled the side cover off and pulled the fuse for the HORN/TURN SIGNAL. STILL HONKING!!!!! What the........????????? OK...now I'm at a loss. How in the world can the horn honk if if it's circuit has been disconnected? Give me an idea what's going on! By the way...I DID find the problem. Just wanted to know if anyone else had this happen. I'll post the solution shortly. |

Monday, October 19, 2009 09:36 am | Well, that explains it. I was thinking it may have been some blinker fluid leaking from the left side blinker fluid reservoir that found its way into the horn button. |
